My friend and I like to go away for a week-end around this time of year, it’s a sort of double birthday treat. Last year Brighton, this year over the border to the next county of Wiltshire.
She wanted to see Bowood Gardens after seeing them in a magazine, and I wanted to see Lacock, so we picked a village pub with rooms, about halfway between them both.
The weather wasn’t too kind to us, but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment.
