I was in the doctor's surgery this morning and the waiting room was full. I took my seat and listened to the conversation, all very moany and negative, ranging from feeling ill (obviously!), to politics and general depressing state of the world. Then, in walked a young couple with tiny (and I mean tiny) twin baby girls. The whole mood changed, loads of oooohs and ahhhhhs, questions, questions and more questions. The poor couple were repeating themselves as each new patient walked in! Incredibly the room took on a whole new atmosphere, people reminiscing and laughing. Even the elderly gents were smitten by these two beautiful little babes.
Because they'd had been born early due to the mother's health problems, the general consensus was how wonderful our health service and local hospitals are.
What a tonic this young family was.
If the doctor could have bottled the affection in that room our troubles would be halved!

What a lovely post. It takes something like that to make people appreciate things, we sometimes take for granted.
